The 2021 Laughing Jack Augustus Greenock Shiraz is a premium single-vineyard Shiraz from the Augustus Vineyard in Greenock, Barossa Valley. Sourced from a hillside site with red-brown soils over deep calcareous clay, the wine is hand-picked, open-top fermented, basket pressed and matured for 20 months in French and American oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The nose is rich and expressive, offering aromas of blackberry, dark cherry and cassis, layered with black olive, cedar, spice and subtle ironstone notes.
On the palate, it is full-bodied with fine-grained tannins, balanced acidity and a velvety texture.
