The 2020 Famille Paquet Saint-Véran En Crèches is a 100% Chardonnay from Davayé in Burgundy’s Mâconnais. Sourced from four parcels of mature vines on clay-limestone soils, it shows citrus, ripe orchard fruit and white flowers with hints of honey, white pepper and fresh butter.
On the palate, it is rich and textural, with ripe Chardonnay fruit balanced by mineral freshness and well-integrated oak. The wine spends 12 months on fine lees in French oak, with around 10% new barrels, followed by further maturation in tank, adding depth while retaining definition.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for those who enjoy mature Saint-Véran with creamy texture, mineral character and restrained oak complexity. Drinking well now. Ideal with scallops, grilled fish, roast chicken, creamy mushroom dishes or seafood pasta.
