The 2019 Domaine Goisot Bourgogne Côtes d’Auxerre Le Court Vit Rouge is a superb biodynamic Pinot Noir from one of the leading estates in the Auxerrois. Sourced from the rocky Kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils of the Le Court Vit vineyard near Saint-Bris, the wine showcases the freshness, minerality and purity that have made the Goisot family a benchmark producer in northern Burgundy.
The nose reveals red cherry, raspberry and rose petal with subtle spice and earthy notes. On the palate, it is silky and vibrant, with bright red fruit, fine-grained tannins and a refreshing mineral backbone. Elegant yet surprisingly concentrated, it finishes long, fresh and beautifully balanced. Neal Martin awarded the wine 90 points, praising its energy, length and fine structure.
Ben’s Recommendation:
A classy, mineral-driven Pinot Noir that offers outstanding value for Burgundy lovers. Fresh, elegant and highly food-friendly, it pairs beautifully with roast chicken, duck, charcuterie, mushroom dishes or pork loin. Enjoy now or cellar through 2028–2030 for added complexity.
