The 2019 Argiano Vigna del Suolo is a flagship single-vineyard Brunello, sourced from the estate’s oldest and most historic parcel. Produced only in top vintages, it represents the purest expression of Argiano’s terroir - combining depth, elegance and long-term ageing potential.
This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grown on marl, clay and limestone soils, with vines averaging over 55–60 years old, contributing concentration and complexity.
The nose is highly complex and evolving, showing black cherry, raspberry and cassis, layered with tobacco, balsamic herbs, spice and a pronounced mineral character of slate and crushed stone.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a refined, linear structure and vibrant acidity. Red and dark fruit are supported by fine, tightly woven tannins and a strong mineral backbone, leading to a long, precise and energetic finish. The wine is noted for its balance between elegance and power, with exceptional ageing potential.
The 2019 vintage is particularly outstanding, having received 100 points from Falstaff, confirming its status as one of the top Brunello releases of the year.
