The 2011 Mongeard-Mugneret Chambolle-Musigny is now showing mature delicacy: violet, raspberry and strawberry aromas, with a light blackcurrant edge, subtle earth and well-integrated oak. The palate is fine-boned and fresh, with silky tannins and an elegant, savoury finish rather than overt power.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent Burgundy for customers seeking a refined and terroir-driven Pinot Noir with classic Chambolle-Musigny elegance and finesse. The 2023 vintage is approachable now while retaining enough structure to evolve beautifully over the next 8–12 years. Best served slightly below room temperature with roast duck, quail, mushroom dishes or aged soft-rind cheeses.
