The 2009 Taylor’s Quinta de Vargellas Vinha Velha is a distinguished Vintage Port from the Douro Valley, produced from old vines at the historic Quinta de Vargellas. The nose shows blackberry, black cherry and plum with violet, dark chocolate, spice and subtle dried fruit.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with firm tannins, balanced acidity and layers of dark berries, cocoa, liquorice and warming spice. The finish is long, sweet and persistent, with the structure to develop further in bottle.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for collectors seeking a mature, structured Vintage Port with old-vine character. Enjoy now or cellar through 2040. Serve in small pours with Stilton, aged cheddar, dark chocolate tart or walnut and fig cake.
