2021 Catena Angelica Zapata Chardonnay Alta

Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Intense white peach and ripe pear aromas carry a distinct dried honey overlay with notes of citrus, green apple, nougat, faint cashew, slate and mineral ensuing. Rich, expansive and powerful but not heavy this wine possesses a Grand Cru Chablis like character. Concentrated white peach and pear fruits combine with dried honey, subtle cashew and nougat over a wet slate and oyster shell back drop. Exceptional length with vibrant acidity lending an energetic feel to the very long, refined and mineral infused conclusion.
