2018 Domaine Leflaive Auxey-Duresses is a refined white Burgundy Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune, produced under the Leflaive & Associés label. Sourced from cooler hillside vineyards near Meursault, the wine reflects a slightly more structured and mineral-driven style, offering excellent value within the Leflaive portfolio.
The nose is lifted and elegant, showing lemon, white peach and green apple, layered with white flowers, almond and subtle biscuit notes. There is a clear mineral edge, with flinty and slate-like nuances adding precision and aromatic freshness.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a balanced, textured mouthfeel and vibrant acidity. Citrus and orchard fruit are supported by a mineral backbone and gentle oak influence, leading to a long, clean and refined finish. The 2018 vintage shows slightly more generosity and ripeness, while still maintaining Leflaive’s hallmark purity and finesse.
