It comes from the Loire Valley, so it is based around Chenin Blanc with its typical green apple fruit profile and bristling clean, fresh acidity. So refreshing in true aperitif style! There's a touch of creaminess and yeasty notes, too adding a little complexity and interest due to 3 years on lees and 10% reserve wine. It's also definitely quite fine with tiny beads that tickle the palate in a pleasing manner. This is so nice and beautifully balanced and a real surprise for us at this price!
