The 2022 Juniper Canvas Tempranillo is a vibrant Margaret River red crafted in a modern, medium-bodied style that highlights freshness, spice and savoury texture. Produced from estate-grown fruit in Karridale, the wine reflects the region’s mild maritime climate, with careful small-batch winemaking preserving bright fruit character and varietal detail. A portion of the fruit underwent carbonic maceration, while maturation in older oak helped soften the tannins without adding excessive oak influence.
On the palate, it is smooth and energetic with fine earthy tannins and bright acidity, delivering flavours of red cherry, raspberry, blackberry and subtle cola spice alongside dried herbs and savoury notes. The texture is supple and food-friendly, finishing fresh and balanced with lingering spice and juicy red fruit character.
