2022 Te Mata Estate Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc from Hawke’s Bay is a premium barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc blend inspired by the white wines of Bordeaux. Aromas of grapefruit, lime and stone fruit are layered with subtle oak and spice. Medium-bodied and textured, the palate shows citrus, nectarine and mineral complexity with vibrant acidity and a long, refined finish. An elegant New Zealand white perfect with seafood, roast chicken and creamy dishes.
Expressing precision and clarity, as well as power and complexity, the wine shows crunchy apple, mango, lemon pith and cedar characters on the nose with a hint of oatmeal nuance. The palate delivers terrifc weight and persistency, wonderfully complemented by fine flow and saline texture, finishing with a great line and length.
