med in honour of David’s son, Louis-Auguste, this Hautes Cotes de Nuits comes from a high altitude vineyard, and combined with some of the domaine’s oldest vines (over 55 years in age) tends to produce a wine of concentration, especially in warm vintages.
Wonderfully perfumed on the nose with delicate cherry blossom, violet, ripe raspberries and crushed wild strawberries interwoven with savoury clove, delicate earth and spicy cedar notes.
This is a well balanced and striking wine which sits light to mid weight on the palate with a vibrant red fruit evolving gently into wild earth and notes of liquorice and hints of white pepper. Well balanced and superbly integrated tannins with a refined and refreshing finish.
