DAVID DUBAND
Domaine David Duband is a distinguished family-run estate located in Chevannes in the Hautes‑Côtes de Nuits, nestled between Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges. A pioneer of organic viticulture, Duband converted all his vines by 2006 and, since 2008, has been a strong advocate of whole cluster fermentations, adding 30–40% whole bunches even in grand cru wines. This contributes bright structure, finesse, and natural tannic elegance to his Pinot Noirs . Harvest is done manually, grapes are crushed by foot, and aging utilizes oak barrels refreshed by only 30% new wood each year, ensuring pure fruit expression and refined structure.
Duband’s wines are celebrated for their clarity, purity, and terroir expression. In-depth tasting impressions describe elegant, sweetly perfumed black cherry aromatics and polished, mouth-filling textures in Charmes-Chambertin, as well as vibrant, structured Nuits-Saint-Georges with spice and meaty complexity.
Domaine David Duband masterfully blends tradition and innovation: organic farming, whole-cluster vinification, and restrained oak use deliver Pinot Noir of elegance, purity, and captivating terroir identity. With a portfolio spanning everyday Burgundy to sought-after Grand Crus, the domaine offers wines that are both immediately enjoyable and built for future development.
