2021 Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Marcorino is a refined single-vineyard Nebbiolo from Piedmont, produced by the highly respected Bruno Rocca estate in the heart of Barbaresco. Sourced from the Marcorino vineyard near Neive, this limited-production wine showcases the elegance, minerality and aromatic complexity that define top Barbaresco wines.
Made from 100% Nebbiolo, the wine is aged for around 16 months in large French oak botti, allowing the fruit and terroir expression to remain the focus. Only about 2,000 bottles were produced, making it a rare and collectible release from the Rocca family.
The nose is intensely aromatic, offering wild cherry, strawberry, rose petals and violets layered with mineral notes and subtle herbs. On the palate, it is structured and elegant, with bright acidity, fine chalky tannins and a persistent mineral finish that reflects the limestone-rich soils of the Langhe hills.
This sophisticated Barbaresco pairs beautifully with braised beef, slow-roasted lamb, truffle dishes and aged cheeses, and will reward 5–15 years of cellaring as its complexity continues to evolve.
