2024 Aphelion Hickinbotham Grenache Noir is a refined single-vineyard Grenache from the renowned Hickinbotham Vineyard in Clarendon, one of the highest and coolest sites in McLaren Vale. This elevated vineyard produces Grenache with remarkable perfume, freshness and structure, showcasing a more elegant side of the region.
The 2024 vintage opens with lifted aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry, layered with notes of rose petal, dried herbs and subtle white pepper spice. On the palate, vibrant red berry fruit is balanced by fine tannins and bright acidity, with hints of cranberry, savoury herbs and gentle earthy complexity adding depth. The finish is long, silky and beautifully refined.
