The 2022 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese is a classic Mosel Riesling from the legendary Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard, produced by one of Germany’s most celebrated Riesling estates. Rising steeply above the Mosel River at Wehlen, Wehlener Sonnenuhr is renowned for its weathered blue Devonian slate soils and exceptionally steep, sun-exposed slopes, producing wines of extraordinary perfume, delicacy and mineral precision. Joh. Jos. Prüm has become particularly synonymous with this vineyard, and its Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese is regarded as one of the benchmark expressions of the Prädikat. The 2022 was selected from two to three parcels of old vines, with just 7.5% alcohol, capturing remarkable flavour intensity without sacrificing the weightless character for which great Mosel Riesling is famous.
