Sullivans Cove French Oak Ex-Apera is a Tasmanian single malt whisky matured in a single French oak cask previously used for Australian Apera fortified wine. The nose shows blackcurrant, poached apple and dark fruits with toffee, chocolate and warming baking spices.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and richly textured with blackberry, cherry, dried apricot and quince, layered with dates, nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is long and silky with espresso, dark chocolate, liquorice and dried fruit.
