2019 Domaine Cordier Pere et Fils Bourgogne Blanc Jean De La Vigne

It's become quite difficult to find tasty, good-value white burgundy that doesn't leave an immense hole in your wallet. The 2019 Domaine Cordier Bourgogne Blanc Jean de Vignes, however, ticks all the right boxes.

The Chardonnay has rich flavours of candied fruit, walnuts and vanilla, with a lovely zing from the citrus notes and a buttery texture. It would go smashingly with any kind of seafood or poultry dish, as well as rich cheeses or creamy pasta sauces.

A decision was made by Christophe Cordier to label it 'Bourgogne Blanc', rather than 'Macon-Villages', as the wine has more depth than the usual Macon wine. For the price, we think it's a cracking drop!
