Disgorged in February 2024, Gaspard Brochet’s NV Brut Nature 333.d (2020 base) is an intricate blend of three grape varieties, three vintages and three villages - hence its name. Anchored in the 2020 vintage and complemented by 40% reserve wines from 2019 and 2018, the cuvée draws heavily from Ecueil, a village renowned for its Pinot Noir. As such, it comprises approximately 70% red grapes, with the remainder being Chardonnay. While, beginning with the 2022 vintage, this cuvée undergoes vinification in foudre, this rendition was still fermented and vinified entirely in stainless steel. It opens with expressive aromas of orange zest, red apple, red berries and dried flowers. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, ample and vibrant, with racy acidity and a mouthwatering, saline finish.
