The 2022 Louis Jadot Corton-Pougets Grand Cru Domaine des Héritiers is a distinguished Burgundy Pinot Noir from the south-facing Pougets climat on the Hill of Corton. The nose shows ripe plum, dark cherry and raspberry with rose petals, earthy notes, orange zest and subtle spice, combining generous 2022 fruit with classic Corton savouriness.
On the palate, it is medium-to-full bodied and concentrated with lively acidity and refined, chalky tannins. Dark cherry and berry fruit are layered with spice, mineral and gentle oak notes. The grapes are destemmed and fermented before around 18 months in oak, approximately one-third new, giving structure without overwhelming the fruit.
