Riesling Les Jardins (previously known as the ‘Vin de Fruit’ range) is made from parcels of grapes from a number of different plots located around the Domaine Ostertag winery, in the village of Epfig, near Itterswiller and Nothalten. Andre Ostertag is passionate about terroir and his practices are not only organic but biodynamic. He celebrates the unique identity of each plot, nurturing and encouraging their natural potential. The resulting wines have a true expression of place.His wines can be intense and concentrated but this Riesling is a delicate style; fruit driven with white peach and white flowers, bone dry, clean and crisp. There is a contrast of a saline minerality tempered by subtle creamy texture.
This Riesling is made from the vineyards surrounding the winery, hence 'Les Jardins', and is incredible pure, with zesty citrus fruit, a touch of apricot and lovely minerality.
