The 2024 Dormilona Chardonnay is a vibrant, minimal-intervention Chardonnay from Jo Perry’s organically farmed vineyards in Margaret River. Naturally fermented with lees ageing and restrained oak influence, the wine focuses on freshness, texture and purity rather than heavy winemaking. The nose shows white peach, grapefruit and lemon curd alongside almond meal, oatmeal and subtle flinty reduction. There’s a fresh saline edge and gentle savoury complexity that gives the wine energy and detail.
On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with juicy citrus fruit, creamy lees texture and bright natural acidity. Fresh and mineral-driven, with a clean savoury finish balancing the wine’s soft texture beautifully.
