It’s from a vineyard planted in 1994. This is a dry, sturdy, structured pinot with macerated cherry, sweet/fragrant herb, twiggy spice and something more exotic, like orange oil or the like. There’s enough flavour and interest here but expect an emphasis on dryness and structure. It’s impressive without being upfront or fruit-forward. We’ve got a seriously good maker of Pinot Noir here. This is light in colour but it has presence.
