Liquorice and red cherry. Black olive pepper, masses of savoury Shiraz tannins with graphite and blonde spice (cinnamon) detail flood out of the glass and in to the next room. Very aromatic.
Rich, inky, and meaty, heading to ground up salt, pepper, rosemary and dried mushroom.
Lean middle to full bodied power. Tastes of Shiraz. Old and new all at once with a touch of new leather and fresh tobacco. Milk chocolatey oak glides in to focus after a few mouthfuls but it will be easily absorbed by the wine in coming years and it quickly gets dominated by the rich umami smallgoods through the finish.
This is exceptional, decadent, and not at all overdone. Perfect balance in a big, saturated, frame.
