Made from vines planted 1969–1974. Fully destemmed, 19 months in barrel. A light–medium ruby red. Perfumed with an earthy, old-vine complexity and spices such as clove, cinnamon and nutmeg. Delicate raspberry and cherry fruit on the palate, with a subtle backbone of tannin ensuring this will age effortlessly over the next 5–10 years. –Philip Rich
