The 2026 Quealy Mornington Peninsula Pinot Grigio is a refined regional expression sourced from six dry-grown, low-yielding vineyards across the Mornington Peninsula. The long, cool 2026 season helped retain freshness while delivering good concentration and depth. It shows crunchy pear, green apple and white nectarine alongside fresh hay, citrus and subtle stony mineral notes. Whole-bunch pressing and natural fermentation preserve the wine’s bright fruit and clean regional character.

On the palate, it is medium-bodied and silky, with lively acidity supporting layers of pear, green apple, citrus and delicate stone fruit. The fruit has a gentle pulpy texture, while fine mineral and saline notes add tension and length through the mid-palate. Six months resting on lees without stirring contributes additional texture without making the wine heavy, allowing the fresh orchard-fruit character to remain at the centre. The finish is dry, clean and persistent, with lingering pear, citrus and subtle mineral notes.

Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Pinot Grigio drinkers who enjoy a more expressive, textural Australian style rather than a simple, lightweight white. The cool Mornington Peninsula climate gives the wine freshness and mineral precision, while the low-yielding vineyards provide added concentration. Best enjoyed over the next 3–5 years. Serve chilled with oysters, seared scallops, grilled prawns with lemon and herbs, salt-and-pepper calamari, roast chicken with fennel, or creamy mushroom and leek risotto.
