The 2020 Bindi Block 8 Pinot Noir is a highly distinctive single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Bindi in Victoria’s Macedon Ranges. Block 8 is a tiny 0.75-hectare, sheltered north-west facing vineyard planted at exceptionally high density, mostly 11,300 vines per hectare with an experimental section reaching 22,600 vines per hectare across seven clones. The cool and damp 2020 season produced a particularly savoury and elegant expression, with aromas of red cherry and darker fruits layered with ginger, dried herbs, earth, game and brown spice.
