The 2022 S.C. Pannell Little Branch Grenache is a striking single-vineyard Grenache from the Little Branch vineyard in Blewitt Springs, a prized pocket of McLaren Vale renowned for producing fragrant, finely structured Grenache. This was the inaugural release from the vineyard after its acquisition by Stephen and Fiona Pannell, showcasing the site's elevated position, ancient sandy soils and distinctive sense of place.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with exceptional purity and finesse. Aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry and red cherry are layered with notes of rose petal, clove, cedar and subtle spice. Bright red fruit flavours flow through a silky, finely textured palate, supported by vibrant acidity and beautifully integrated sandy tannins. The finish is long, detailed and mineral-driven, delivering both elegance and impressive structure.
