2024 Coulter Chardonnay

The 2024 Coulter Chardonnay is a refined Adelaide Hills Chardonnay crafted by Chris Coulter from the Rathmine Single Vineyard in Echunga. Fermented in French oak barrels with a minimal-intervention approach, it balances richness with freshness while allowing the vineyard character to shine. The bouquet is expressive, revealing aromas of white peach, melon and subtle oak, supported by delicate citrus notes and a hint of oatmeal and ginger spice.

On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a creamy texture and vibrant natural acidity. Flavours of white peach, lemon, lime and melon are layered with notes of oatmeal, gentle spice and well-integrated oak, leading to a long, balanced and elegant finish. Barrel fermentation adds complexity without overwhelming the wine's bright fruit profile, making it approachable now while rewarding short-term cellaring. The wine has received 92+ points from Campbell Mattinson and 92 points from Tom Kline.
