A dark, savoury and beautifully structured Montepulciano from Bryan Martin, sourced from the cool elevated Hilltops region. Matured over two years in puncheons and large Stockinger foudre, the wine combines richness with freshness and impressive detail. The nose shows blackberry, blueberry and black cherry alongside wild herbs, cocoa, cracked pepper and subtle earthy spice. There’s a distinctly savoury edge with hints of leather and dried oregano adding complexity.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with vibrant acidity, supple dark fruit and fine chewy tannins. Juicy yet structured, with a long savoury finish and excellent balance between power and freshness.

A seriously impressive modern Australian Montepulciano — rich, savoury and highly food friendly without feeling heavy. Great with wood-fired pizza, slow-cooked lamb, pasta ragù or chargrilled meats. Drink now or cellar through 2035+.
