The 2023 Domaine du Pélican Arbois “Trois Cépages” is an elegant and distinctive Jura red produced from 60% Pinot Noir, 35% Trousseau and 5% Poulsard. The vineyards lie around Montigny-lès-Arsures on predominantly grey and black marl soils. The wine shows fragrant aromas of cherry, cranberry and raspberry, layered with dried rose petals, earthy spice and subtle herbal notes.
On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with vibrant acidity, fine tannins and excellent mineral definition. Fresh red fruit combines with peppery spice, floral notes and a distinctive chalky, earthy character, creating a lively and beautifully balanced style. Wine Spectator awarded the 2023 91 points.
