The 2022 Louis Jadot Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru is a serious Burgundy Pinot Noir from the celebrated Grand Cru vineyards of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. Produced from old vines, it shows wild raspberry, red cherry and brambly berries with rose petal, orange zest, forest floor and subtle spice, combining ripe 2022 fruit with classic earthy Burgundy character.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and layered with concentrated red fruit, fresh acidity and fine, powdery tannins. A velvety texture carries cherry, raspberry, allspice and mineral notes through a long, savoury finish. The wine is matured in oak barrels, traditionally for around 18–20 months, building structure for extended bottle development.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is a great choice for Burgundy collectors who enjoy structured Grand Cru Pinot Noir with depth, fine tannins and significant ageing potential. The 2022 is built for the cellar, with published drinking windows extending into the 2040s. Pair with roast duck, beef bourguignon, lamb, game, mushroom dishes or mature cheeses.
