This offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The 2025 Giant Steps Bastard Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from a steep, cool-climate site rising between approximately 300 and 400 metres at Gladysdale in the Upper Yarra Valley. This perfumed Pinot Noir opens with alpine berries, boysenberry and red cherry, followed by violet, rose petal, bergamot and orange peel, with subtle notes of mint, peppercorn, sandalwood and woodsmoke.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied, pure and intensely focused, combining succulent red fruit with impressive freshness and energy. Silky, fine-grained tannins form a graphite-like frame, while herbal bitters, savoury spice and mineral tension lead into a firm, exceptionally long finish. It is slightly richer than the 2024 release but retains the elevated site’s signature precision and freshness.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an outstanding choice for those who enjoy elegant Pinot Noir with aromatic complexity, mineral tension and serious cellaring potential. Serve at 14–16°C and decant for 30–60 minutes if drinking young. Enjoy from 2028 or cellar through approximately 2042. Ideal with Peking duck, grilled quail, mushroom dishes, miso-glazed salmon, pork and shiitake dumplings or Korean-style grilled beef.
