The 2024 Moorooduc Estate McIntyre Pinot Noir is a premium single-vineyard expression from the estate’s original home vineyard on Derril Road, Mornington Peninsula. Established in 1983, the elevated McIntyre Vineyard contains an unusually diverse collection of Pinot Noir clones, including MV6, 115, 114, 777, 667, Abel and Pommard. Moorooduc Estate has been a pioneer of wild-yeast fermentation in Australia, with its single-vineyard wines designed to highlight the individual character of each site.
The 2024 shows a savoury, structured personality with dark cherry and red berry fruit alongside herbs, earth and subtle spice. The palate is dry and finely shaped, with fresh acidity and firm, elegant tannins providing excellent length and definition. Campbell Mattinson describes it as a dry, sinewy and herb-flecked Pinot Noir and recommends drinking from 2028–2033+.

At Wine More Cellars, McIntyre is one of Moorooduc Estate’s most serious and cellar-worthy Pinot Noirs. Compared with the Robinson Vineyard Pinot Noir, it is firmer, more savoury and structured, reflecting the mature vines of the estate’s historic home vineyard. The 2024 combines depth with freshness and fine tannins, making it an excellent choice for lovers of sophisticated Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir. Drink from 2028 onwards or cellar for 8–12+ years. Perfect with duck, roast lamb, quail, game birds and mushroom dishes.
