The 2024 Giant Steps Bastard Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir is a beautifully refined single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Gladysdale in the Upper Yarra Valley. It opens with perfumed aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, complemented by dried rose, sarsaparilla, clove, cardamom and subtle smoked cedar.
On the palate, it is silky yet tightly composed, with vibrant red and blue fruits, bright acidity and superfine tannins. Savoury herbs, gentle spice and a distinctive gravelly mineral note add complexity, leading to an exceptionally long, focused and energetic finish.
