ELK COVE
Elk Cove Vineyards is a celebrated family-owned and operated winery located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, USA — one of the most respected cool-climate wine regions in the United States. Founded in 1974 by Pat and Joe Campbell, it was the first vineyard and winery in what would later become the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, and is named for the herd of Roosevelt elk that roam the nearby Coast Range hills.
Elk Cove has a long history of producing high-quality estate-grown wines from grapes cultivated on its own sustainably farmed vineyards. Today, second-generation winemaker Adam Campbell, a fifth-generation Oregon farmer, leads production with a strong focus on terroir and vineyard health. The estate spans six hillside vineyard sites across the northern Willamette Valley, showcasing a range of soil types and microclimates that contribute to distinctive wines.
The winery is best known for its Pinot noir — including both broader Willamette Valley blends and acclaimed single-vineyard bottlings such as La Bohème and Mount Richmond — as well as a suite of cool-climate white wines like Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Chardonnay. Elk Cove’s wines reflect the balance and finesse of Oregon’s climate, with a reputation for expressive fruit, structural elegance and dependable quality.
Elk Cove remains deeply rooted in family tradition and vineyard stewardship, crafting wines that serve as benchmarks for Oregon’s Pinot-centric style and cool-climate viticulture.
