The 2022 Domaine Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle Vieilles Vignes is a powerful yet refined Pinot Noir from old vines averaging around 70 years, planted just below the Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru. The wine shows beautiful aromas of blackberry, cherry, raspberry and violet, layered with spice, earthy notes and fine minerality.
On the palate, it is concentrated and silky with vibrant acidity, fine tannins and a long, saline finish. Decanter awarded 96 points, highlighting its depth, energy and impressive length.
Ben's Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an exceptional Burgundy for serious collectors. Pair with roast duck, venison, beef or wild mushrooms. Best with further cellaring, with a drinking window around 2027–2050.
