The 2024 Domaine Baudouin Millet Chablis Vieilles Vignes is a beautifully concentrated Chablis crafted from 65-year-old Chardonnay vines rooted in classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils on the eastern side of the appellation. Fermented and matured in stainless steel on fine lees, the wine preserves its hallmark freshness while gaining added texture and depth. The nose is expressive and complex, revealing lemon, green apple and white peach layered with beeswax, dried fruit and signature chalky minerality.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with vibrant acidity, a rounded texture and impressive concentration from the old vines. Flavours of citrus and orchard fruit are complemented by saline minerality and subtle lees complexity, leading to a long, elegant finish with outstanding balance. Richer than a classic village Chablis, it is a superb gastronomic wine with excellent ageing potential.
