DOMAINE GERARD DUPLESSIS
Domaine Gérard Duplessis is a family-run winery in Chablis, France, established in 1895. Now in its fifth generation, the estate is managed by Lilian Duplessis, who took over from his father, Gérard, in 1999. The domaine spans approximately 10 hectares, divided into about 20 parcels, each with its own unique characteristics.
In 2010, Lilian began converting the vineyards to organic farming practices, achieving certification in 2013. The vineyards are primarily situated on Kimmeridgian limestone soils, known for imparting the distinctive minerality characteristic of Chablis wines.
The domaine produces wines from several renowned appellations, including Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos and Premier Crus such as Vaugiraut, Mont de Milieu, Fourchaume, Montée de Tonnerre, Montmains, and Vaillons. The winemaking approach is relatively hands-off, with minimal use of sulfur and a focus on allowing each vineyard’s terroir to express itself fully.
