Domaine de la Vougeraie is one of Burgundy's leading biodynamic estates, producing exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from an outstanding collection of Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Established in 1999 by the Boisset family, the domaine was created by uniting some of Burgundy's finest historic vineyard holdings into a single estate dedicated to expressing the purity and diversity of the region's legendary terroirs.
Today, Domaine de la Vougeraie farms more than 40 hectares of vineyards across some of Burgundy's most prestigious appellations, including Clos de Vougeot, Bonnes-Mares, Musigny, Corton-Charlemagne, Vougeot, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Pommard, Beaune, Meursault, and Savigny-lès-Beaune. This remarkable vineyard portfolio places the domaine among the most important producers in Burgundy.
The estate has been certified biodynamic since 2001 and is recognised as a pioneer of sustainable viticulture in Burgundy. Vineyard work focuses on improving soil health, encouraging biodiversity, and allowing each parcel to express its natural identity. Hand harvesting, careful fruit selection, and meticulous vineyard management ensure exceptional fruit quality every vintage.
Winemaking follows a philosophy of minimal intervention, with indigenous yeast fermentations, gentle extraction, thoughtful use of whole clusters where appropriate, and restrained French oak maturation. The result is wines of remarkable purity, elegance, and transparency that faithfully express the nuances of each vineyard.
The Pinot Noir wines display aromas of red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, rose petals, violets, spice, and forest floor, supported by silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and exceptional mineral precision.
