The 2022 Bader-Mimeur Château de Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc is a classic white Burgundy from one of Chassagne-Montrachet's historic family estates, which has owned the vineyards surrounding the château for more than a century. Sourced from the Champ Derrière vineyard, the Chardonnay is fermented and aged for 12 months in French oak (20% new) before resting in stainless steel, creating a wine of elegance and depth. The nose is beautifully expressive, offering white peach, pear and citrus layered with white flowers, creamy pastry, vanilla and fine mineral notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a silky texture, vibrant acidity and beautifully integrated oak. Ripe orchard fruit is complemented by subtle brioche and chalky minerality, leading to a long, fresh finish with impressive balance and precision. Rich yet refined, this is a superb village Chassagne-Montrachet with the structure to age gracefully over the next decade.
