Chambers Rutherglen Rare Muscadelle NV is one of Australia’s most iconic fortified wines, representing the pinnacle of the Rutherglen classification system. Crafted from Muscadelle grapes and aged for decades in a traditional solera system, this wine delivers extraordinary depth, concentration and complexity.
The nose is intensely aromatic, offering layers of raisin, toffee, caramelised nuts, coffee and exotic spice. With extended ageing, it develops remarkable rancio characters - think walnut, mocha and aged wood - creating a profoundly complex and evolving bouquet.
On the palate, it is luxuriously rich and viscous, with flavours of burnt toffee, fig, molasses and dark chocolate. Despite its sweetness, the wine remains beautifully balanced by freshness and persistence, finishing incredibly long with a warming, almost endless aftertaste.
