The 2024 Tyrrell’s Hunter Valley Shiraz is a modern, medium-bodied expression of one of the Hunter Valley’s signature red varieties. Sourced from selected estate and surrounding vineyard blocks averaging around 40 years of age, the nose shows bright red and dark berry fruit with pepper, subtle spice and savoury notes.
On the palate, it is fresh and balanced with lively acidity, soft savoury tannins and vibrant fruit. The grapes are destemmed without crushing to retain whole berries, before maturation in older large-format French oak casks, keeping oak influence restrained and the Shiraz fruit clearly defined.
