The 2024 Beautiful Isle Peacock Syrah is a vibrant cool-climate Syrah from Tasmania’s Tamar Valley, produced by David Feldheim under the Beautiful Isle label. Sourced from select northern Tasmanian vineyards and made with a light touch in the winery, it reflects the freshness, perfume and elegance that have become hallmarks of Tasmanian Syrah. The Peacock range is designed to be approachable and expressive, highlighting fruit purity and regional character.
The nose shows blackberry, plum and blueberry alongside violet, cracked pepper and subtle spice. Medium-bodied and finely structured, the palate combines juicy dark fruit with silky tannins and bright acidity, finishing fresh, savoury and beautifully balanced. More Rhône-inspired than Barossa in style, it emphasises finesse, energy and drinkability over sheer power.
