The 2024 Bachelet-Monnot Bourgogne Blanc Côte d'Or is a refined 100% Chardonnay from Burgundy, sourced principally from vineyards around Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. The nose is mineral-driven and precise, showing green apple, fresh pear and citrus with subtle smoky reduction and a touch of praline.
On the palate, it is focused and energetic, with crisp acidity, ripe orchard fruit and a fine mineral backbone. Bachelet-Monnot’s whites are fermented with indigenous yeasts in larger 350L barrels, followed by extended maturation in barrel and stainless steel, building texture while retaining freshness and precision.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for those who enjoy white Burgundy with Puligny-like finesse, bright acidity and restrained oak complexity. Enjoy from 2026–2033. Ideal with grilled scallops, roast chicken, barramundi, lobster, creamy mushroom dishes or soft cheeses.
