The 2023 Toro Albalá Don PX is a beautifully concentrated Pedro Ximénez dessert wine from Montilla-Moriles, Spain. Made from grapes that are traditionally sun-dried for around seven days to concentrate their natural sugars, the wine is matured for approximately 12 months in stainless steel tanks, preserving its freshness and vibrant fruit. The nose is rich and inviting, revealing aromas of raisins, dried figs, dates, orange peel and honey, with subtle notes of caramel and coffee.
On the palate, it is luscious and velvety, balanced by refreshing acidity that keeps the sweetness in check. Flavours of honey, dried apricot, caramel, toffee and candied citrus unfold across a long, smooth finish, making it both expressive and remarkably balanced for a young Pedro Ximénez.
