The 2023 Frankland Estate Olmo’s Reward is the flagship red from the organically farmed Isolation Ridge Vineyard in Frankland River, Western Australia. Cabernet Franc leads the blend, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre. The nose is complex and savoury, showing black and blue berries, plum and redcurrant alongside violet, wild herbs, black pepper and earthy mineral notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet concentrated, with fresh acidity and fine, grainy tannins providing structure and length. Ripe berry and plum flavours are complemented by leafy herbs, peppery spice and a distinctive mineral character. Maturation in French oak adds depth while allowing the Cabernet Franc perfume and fruit to remain prominent.
