The 2021 Racines Bentrock Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay from California’s Santa Barbara County, sourced from two north-facing parcels of the Bentrock Vineyard at around 400–500 feet elevation. The nose shows lemon, green apple and citrus with white flowers, crushed shell and a distinctive saline mineral character.
On the palate, it is concentrated and finely textured, with Meyer lemon, apple and yuzu supported by vibrant acidity and stony minerality. Extended time on lees builds texture while reductive winemaking preserves freshness, leading to a long, precise and saline finish.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for those who enjoy serious cool-climate Chardonnay with citrus intensity, mineral structure and excellent ageing potential. Drinking well now, with potential to develop through approximately 2040. Ideal with scallops, grilled fish, roast chicken, lobster or creamy mushroom dishes.
