2020 Domaine Louis Boillot & Fils Gevrey-Chambertin

A very fresh if somber nose combines notes of ripe red and dark currant with hints of the sauvage and forest floor. There is excellent richness to the appealingly textured medium-bodied flavors that exude a more subtle minerality on the rustic, complex and sneaky long finish. This too offers fine quality for its level.
