The 2021 Peter Jakob Kühn Riesling Schlehdorn is one of the estate’s rare PJK.Unikat wines, sourced from a tiny parcel of more than 70-year-old vines within the prestigious Sankt Nikolaus vineyard in the Rheingau. Farmed biodynamically and matured with extended lees ageing, it represents one of the purest expressions of Peter Jakob Kühn’s philosophy of terroir-driven winemaking. Produced in extremely limited quantities, Schlehdorn combines remarkable concentration with the precision and energy that define the great Rieslings of the estate.
The nose reveals white peach, citrus zest and delicate floral notes layered with flint, wet stone and subtle herbal complexity. The palate is intensely focused and mineral-driven, with crystalline acidity supporting layers of citrus, orchard fruit and saline tension. Powerful yet effortlessly refined, it finishes exceptionally long, showcasing extraordinary purity, balance and a striking mineral core.

A world-class dry Riesling that beautifully captures the depth and precision of great Rheingau terroir. Its combination of concentration, minerality and finesse makes it a superb partner for lobster, scallops, turbot, pork dishes and aged alpine cheeses. While impressive now with careful decanting, this is a wine built for long-term cellaring and will continue to evolve beautifully through 2040 and beyond.
